Spirituality – Staying asleep again!
Religion, staying asleep again, Yoga, Qigong, Mindfulness all potentially exceptional ways to stay asleep again!
Don’t mistake the finger pointing at the moon, for the moon itself.
Awakening? Or are you just turning over in bed?
Ask yourself this crucial question.
“Am I looking for somebody who can show me the way to change myself, to make my life better, to help me move forward?” If the answer is YES, then you just rolled over in bed, and continue to sleep.
If the answer was “NO – I understand that NOBODY can do this work form me, and that I’m the only person who can figure this out!” – then I applaud you. It’s taken me 30 years of great, lovely enjoyable sleep to get to this conclusion – but I finally got there! Phew!
It’s actually a little more complex that that too – why? Because there is no ME! (However, in that, lies the clue to really attaining a new paradigm.
Start this new journey with the Sri Ramana Maharshi question “Who am I?” (Don’t buy his book, don’t follow him, don’t worship him…) Just sit with a bit of paper and a pen, and ask yourself repeatedly “Who am I?” Daily, for weeks and years if necessary.
(Hint – if you don’t come up with an answer similar to – “I am God, I am The Universe, I am one with all there is…etc” then you are not trying hard enough!!)
When you realise that you are god, job done!
Now you are approaching the kind of higher consciousness that would make it impossible to have wars, use fossil fuels, chop down rain forests and kill anything..
This is how we fix the world – find your own divinity, help others to find their divinity. Done. OK?
No more reading, no more self-help, no more year-long courses – Just this one question.
(Unless it’s my Three Monkeys Qigong course, of course! – Just to justify that, it’s important to have a healthy body to support your discovery of yourself as the Universe!)
